Westbrook Elementary "Fifth Grade Angels" holds fundraiser lollipop sale

Westbrook Elementary School’s "Fifth Grade Angels" held a series of Friday Lollipop Sales as a fundraiser to benefit the children of the tsunami disaster. Monies raised were sent to the International Red Cross, earmarked for the Tsunami Generation, as the Southeast Asian youngsters have been dubbed.

Shown in West Islip are Rebecca Ragusa, Emre Yurter, Julie Turner and Paige Turner with teacher Lori Smith. "We have to help them," says Paige , a fourth grader, "because they lost everything. We have to do something for them." The lollipops, many with unusual flavors, such as cherry cheesecake and lime-cherry soda, were big sellers.
