Roger Schindler, of West Islip, died May 3, 2005. He was a proud World War II veteran.

Survivors include his wife Carol Schindler; his children John Schindler, Helen Carioscia, Lisa Liotti, Amy Schindler and Sally Strachan and 11 grandchildren.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy., West Islip. Services were private.
