The Long Island Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development conference took place at the Melville Marriott on May 9. Noted educator Dr. Robert Marzano gave a dynamic presentation entitled What Works in Schools. In attendance were Christine Tona, Forest Avenue Elementary School principal; Lisa Carelli-Lang, director of student services; Dominick Palma, assistant superintendent of curriculum; Alice Robinson, kindergarten through 12th grade library chair and grant recipient; Dr. Robert Manzano, guest speaker; Carol Varsolona, director of language arts and testing; Ellice Vassallo, high school principal and Joann Scott, South Bay Elementary School principal.
