Our Town, the Pulitzer prize-winning play play by Thornton Wilder, was performed by the theater department of Babylon High School recently.
Under the direction of Lisa Drance, Grover’s corners was introduced by the stage manager, Don Gilbert, with the day-to-day life of its residents and their lives, past, present and future. The first character to be introduced was Mrs. Gibb, played by Victoria Allen in her last Babylon High School production, and then Mrs. Webb, played by Brittany Walsh; their husband, Dr. Gibbs, played by senior Jason Lindley, and the town’s news editor Mr. Webb, by Derek Kinnear. The play continued with the love story of George Gibbs, played by Joe Gredder and his childhood friend and only love Emily, played by Christine Hunter. In addition there was the comic relief of Professor Willard, played by Christina Poio; Mr. Stimson, the disgruntled choir master played by Pat Flanaghan and the rest of the cast including Anthony Sgueglia who took over for an ailing Dylan Bustamante, Joseph Ruyman, Emily Anderson, Anthony Arra, Emily Halliday, Cynthia Shea, Niti Suchdeve, Laura Kelland, Jon Kyriacou, Pat Koch, Meaghan Fowler, Steve Sherwood, Scott Sgueglia and Jackie Vukovich.

Foley artist manager David Katz, sound specialists Colleen Fagan and Stephanie Witkin and light manager Ed Jelley and Tom Napolitano and their teams all added to the success of the play.
