Daniel E. Staehler, of West Islip, died March 27, 2005. He was 72 years old.

Survivors include his wife Doris; his children Dora Heim, William and Jackie, Paul and John Heim and seven grandchildren.

Mr. Staehler reposed at Lang-Tobia-DiPalma Funeral Home, 255 Higbie Ln., West Islip. A religious service was said March 31, 2005 at the funeral home. Interment followed in Long Island National Cemetery at Calverton.
