John C. Zemba died on March 10, 2005. Survivors include his wife Grace; his children Dr. Diane Zemba-Stankiewicz and her husband Frank, John Zemba and his wife Jane and Lorraine Zemba Obrock and her husband Steven and his grandchildren Douglas, Jillian, Tyler, Jacqueline and Kevin.

Mr. Zemba reposed at the Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 West Main St., Babylon. A funeral service was said at the United Methodist Church of Babylon. Entombment was in Pinelawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations will be appreciated in his memory to the United Methodist Church of Babylon Memorial Fund.
