First Presbyterian Church of Babylon names new pastor
The First Presbyterian Church of Babylon has called the Reverend Thomas D. Sutter as its new pastor. After serving in the U.S. Navy, Dr. Sutter attended the Wichita State University where he received his BBA degree. In 1988, he received his master of divinity from the Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and in 2004, his doctor of ministry degree from the Graduate Theological Foundation.
Pastor Sutter and his wife Donna have two children, Carrie, a fourth grade teacher and Eric, a second lieutenant and Blackhawk pilot in the Army.
"I am honored and excited about being your next pastor," said Dr. Sutter, when he was informed that the congregation has overwhelmingly approved his call. Further, Pastor Sutter declared, "I look forward to working with you as we seek to discover and accomplish God’s Will for the congregation here in Babylon. May the Spirit give us new life, greater empowerment and an enrichment of gifts to enable us to serve the Lord."
Reverend Sutter assumed his ministry effective June 1.
