I enjoyed the column by John Palmer of Stuart, Florida who recently wrote in Reminiscences of Babylon in your paper. I assume he must be a recipient of your Beacon.

I believe this "John Palmer" to be the same Merchant Marine who was located on Hunter Avenue, North Babylon and I was Dorothy Nelson who lived across the street. He used my 1940 Ford Club Coupe while he was home on leave.

I still live in North Babylon, where his sons and mom visited.
