Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center recently held its second annual Lighting of the Manger to kick-off the holiday season. Good Samaritan President and CEO Richard J. Murphy initiated the ceremony and introduced Fr. Doug Dower who blessed the manger. Members of the Board of Trustees, Good Samaritan physicians, administration and employees were among those who attended. Participants lit a candle in a symbolic gesture to bring in the season while Sr. Mary Anna Euring, Director of Pastoral Care played the flute along with Zina and Gabriella Miranda. Members of St. John the Baptist High School's Choir were also in attendance to sing holiday favorites. After the lighting, attendees gathered for hot chocolate and cookies in the hospital.
