 Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute offers a $60,000 scholarship to a student whose achievements in math and science are superlative. That students must pursue studies in architecture, engineering, management, science or the humanities and social science at Rensselaer to receive the award. This year, Rensselaer has honored Joanna Witkin with its prestigious medal and an offer of a $15,000 scholarship per year for four years.
