State Senator Owen H. Johnson (4th Senate District, Babylon), chairman of the Finance Committee, recently joined Babylon Village Mayor Ralph Scordino, members of the Babylon Village Fire Department and the community in honoring someone very special - the Mayor’s father, Ralph Scordino of Babylon. Ex-Captain Scordino first joined the Sumpwams Hose Company on November 1, 1949 and was honored for his 55 years of service to the Department at a special dinner which was held at the Melville Marriot recently. Mayor Scordino presented his dad with a Proclamation from the Village of Babylon, while Senator Johnson presented him with a New York State Senate citation.
