The promise of August
     Midsummer, when waves rise from scalding sidewalks and spill on to the beaches’ burning sands, is a perfect time for introspection and renewal. It marks the summer’s center, and sets so many upon the annual break called vacation.

     The New York State Senate and Assembly recently passed landmark anti-terrorism legislation, which I co-sponsored, that will dramatically increase the protections afforded to all New Yorkers, as well as the resources available to law enforcement officers and prosecutors.

Anti-gay amendment is illegal according to reader
     I’ve read the letter from Mace Greenfield about gay marriage. If I remember correctly, this is at least, the second letter from him on this subject.
