Robert John Noeldechen, of Islip, died September 20, 2004. He was 85 years old.

Mr. Noeldechen was a Past World War II 2nd Lieutenant Army Air Corp. Pilot.

Survivors include his wife, Grace; his children, Roberta Geiger-Smith, Patricia Cortese, Peter Noeldechen and Julia Noeldechen-Bowman; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and his brothers Howard and Warren.

Mr. Noeldechen reposed at the Overton Funeral Home, 172 Main St., Islip. A funeral service was said Thursday, September 23, 2004 at St. Marks Episcopal Church, Islip. Interment was in Long Island National Cemetery at Calverton.
