State Senator Owen H. Johnson (4th Senate District, Babylon) Chairman of the Finance Committee, recently joined members of the community and the Mayor E. Donald Conroy Scholarship Committee at a fundraiser to raise money for the scholarship, which is awarded to a high school senior from Babylon Village who has demonstrated outstanding community service. At the fundraiser, the first-ever scholarship was presented to Lisa Carroll of Babylon Village who will be attending the University of Rhode Island this fall. Senator Johnson is shown presenting a check representing funds he secured to benefit the scholarship fund.
