The Long Island Board of Realtors(r), Inc.,(LIBOR) a non profit trade association comprised of 21,000 professional real estate professionals, has donated $10,000 to the Hurricane Disaster Relief Fund established by the Florida Association of Realtors(r) (FAR) to aid victims of Hurricane Charley and Frances.

The Relief Fund was established in August, shortly after Hurricane Charley, a category 4 Hurricane, left thousands of Floridians homeless, millions without power and water, and property damage in the billions. Since that time, Florida has been hit by a second hurricane, Frances. Russell Grooms, President of the FAR reports that thousands of Realtor(r) members need to find shelter for their families, and have incurred large out of pocket expenses as a result of the hurricanes.

To make a tax-deductible contribution to FAR’s Disaster Relief Fund, make checks payable to: FAR Disaster Relief Fund, 7025 Augusta National Dr., Orlando, FL 32822. In the memo line, write "For FAR Disaster Relief Fund."
