•The library will present Friday Afternoon at the Movies, September 17, 1 to 3 p.m. Call the library for information about what will be playing.

•On Monday, September 20, 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. the library will offer Everything You Should Know About the College Application/Admission Process and Needn’t be Afraid to Ask. This program is for teens and parents. Leslie J. and Bernard Bilawsky will offer this program. Registration is required.

•The library will offer a program entitled All about Forgetfulness, Tuesday, September 21, 2 p.m.Registration is required.

•A Defensive Driving Course will be held at the library, Wednesday, September 22 and Thursday, September 23, 6 to 9 p.m. Applications are available at he information desk. The cost is $40.

•Orientations for the BOCES H.E.L.P. (learn English at home) and G.R.A.S.P. (earn your GED, high school equivalency diploma at home) courses will be held Wednesday, September 22, 6 to 8 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. respectively. Registration is required.

•The Friends of the West Islip Public Library will accept donations of hardcover and paperback books, magazines and audio/visual materials in good, saleable condition for their next book fair in December. If you want to donate a box or more of these materials, please call the library before coming in.
