Surviving Mrs. Vega are her husband Miguel; her children, Rose McGovern and her husband Andrew, Denise Latkowski and her husband Dean, Miguel Jr. and his wife Janis, Joseph and his wife Kim; her daughter-in-law Jayme; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild and her siblings Madeline, Serafina and Frank; She is predeceased by her son Cary.

Mrs. Vega reposed at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 West Main St., Babylon. A Mass of Christian Burial was said at Our Lady of Grace R.C. Church, Wednesday, May 12, 2004. Interment to follow at North Babylon Cemetery.
