Mr. Droughton is survived by his companion Grace Amatucci; his children Rita and Michael Plansky, Billy Droughton, Kevin Droughton, Kathleen and Jim Flanagan and Brendan Droughton; and seven grandchildren.

Mr. Droughton reposed at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy., West Islip. A Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial was said at Our Lady of Grace R.C. Church, West Babylon. Interment was in Long Island National Cemetery at Calverton. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in his memory to Good Shepherd Hospice, 655 Deer Park Ave., Babylon, NY 11702.
