John D. Campbell, of Bay Shore, died April 26, 2004.

Mr. Campbell was born in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania on February 26, 1908. He was a former resident of Malverne and Stuart, Florida. He was class president and proud graduate of St. Bonaventure University Class of 1929. He was an Army veteran of World War II and retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance Company after 40 years.

Surviving Mr. Campbell are his wife, Elizabeth (nee Blake); his children Carol Logue and Robert, Patricia Dopsovic and Richard; his grandchildren Kathleen, James, Elizabeth, William, Michael, Patricia and Robert and 11 great grandchildren. His daughter, Barbara Burggraf predeceased him.

A funeral mass will be said Saturday, May 1, 10 a.m. at St. Patrick R.C. Church, Bay Shore. Interment was in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Bay Shore. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Consolation Residence, 111 Beach Drive, West Islip, NY 11795 or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Arrangements were under the direction of the White-Voltz Funeral Home, 364 E. Main St., Bay Shore.
