• The movie Mona Lisa Smile (rated PG-13), starring Julia Roberts will be shown Thursday, June 10, 3 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

•A Defensive Driving program will be held at the library Saturday, June 12, 9:30 a.m. to 4:40 p.m. This is a NYS point and insurance reduction program. Materials, handouts and forms will be provided. There is a $35 non-refundable fee due at registration. Participants must bring a valid driver’s license.

•Sign-up is underway for a bus trip to the Bush-Holley House Wednesday, June 23. The bus will depart from the library at 8:16 a.m. and leave Greenwich at 4 p.m. The fee of$52.50 includes bus transportation, bus driver gratuity, admissions and lunch at Manero’s. •Community members and friends are invited to join the Trustees and staff of the West Islip Public Library in celebrating the grand opening of the newly renovated and expanded library building Sunday, June 6, 1 to 4 p.m. A brief re-dedication ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. after which refreshments will be served. Library staff will conduct tours of the new building and there will be a variety of musical entertainment as well as children’s activities.
