Joseph J. Barry, of Leesburg, Virginia and formerly of North Babylon, died December 2, 2003. He was 59 years old.

Mr. Barry was a former member of the North Babylon, Babylon and West Babylon Fire Departments.

Surviving Mr. Barry are his wife Linda; his children Kathy Taylor and Donald Barry; his grandchildren Jonathan and Nicole; his mother Marguerite and his sisters Eileen Heimbrecht and Peg Barry. His father, Joseph J. Barry, Jr. predeceased him.

Mr. Barry reposed at the Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 West Main St., Babylon. Firematic Services were said Friday, December 5, 2003 at the funeral home. A funeral mass was said Saturday, December 6, 2003 at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, Babylon.
