WB Forest Avenue students in math-a-thon
West Babylon's Forest Avenue Elementary School recently participated in the St. Jude's Math-a-thon to benefit children with diseases. Students worked on math problems and received sponsor money for each problem they solved correctly. Money raised helps to find a cure for childhood diseases through St. Jude's Research Hospital. Pictured are the Forest Avenue students who collected the most money: back row, left to right, are program advisor Miss Curio, Samantha Cosentino, Chelsea Byrne, Erin Fischer, and principal Mrs. Tona and in the front row, left to right, are Joseph Wetzel, Krystal Schaefer, and Shannon Griffin. Not pictured Maverick Sciarrino.
