Fleet Bank held up in West Babylon
Detectives from the Suffolk County Police Robbery Squad are investigating a bank robbery which occurred at about 10:10 a.m. on Thursday, December 4.
A white male entered the Fleet Bank, 560 Montauk Hwy., West Babylon, verbally demanded money and threatened to kill the teller. The suspect then fled the bank on foot in an easterly direction with an undetermined amount of cash.
There were five employees and four customers in the bank at the time of the robbery. No weapon was seen and no one was injured.
The suspect is described as a white male in his late twenties to early thirties. He is about five feet two inches to five feet seven inches tall, medium build, weighing between 150 and 160 pounds. He was wearing a blue baseball cap and a gray sweatshirt with the initials "FB" on the front.
