Suffolk County Police First Squad Detectives are investigating a motor vehicle accident in Deer Park, which left three persons seriously injured. Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the driver who left the scene.

On Wednesday, November 19, at approximately 1:10 p.m., Angela Feifer, age 34, of Ronkonkoma, was driving a 2000 Mazda northbound on Commack Road in deer Park, when her car was struck in the rear by another vehicle described as a blue van. This initial collision caused Ms. Feifer’s car to swerve into oncoming traffic, where it collided with a 2000 Toyota being driven southbound on Commack Road by Renee Lombardo, age 43, of Dix Hills. The blue van continued northbound on Commack Road, without the operator stopping to identify himself.

Angela Feifer was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital where she is being treated for neck and head injuries. Renee Lombardo is also being treated at Good Samaritan Hospital for spinal and back injuries and is in critical condition. A passenger in Feifer’s vehicle, whose identify is being withheld pending family notification, is being treated at the University Hospital at Stony Brook for severe head and spinal injuries and is in critical condition.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have information on the blue van or its driver to call the First Squad at 854-8152. Or you can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
