One more time the Babylon Rotary Club is sponsoring and hosting a young child through the Gift of Life Program. Many children born with chronic heart problems have received a new lease on life through this endeavor Children, whose life would have been cut short in their homeland, are being operated on at Stony Brook University Hospital, at no cost to their parents. The latest recipient of this life-saving program is Daniel Garcia, held by his mom Oneyta Midence from Honduras. Beaming with happiness is their U.S. host Rotarian Peg Doyle. South Bay Elementary School recently held a spaghetti dinner night, sponsored by the PTA. Featured on the menu was spaghetti with homemade sauce, Italian bread, and salad. The tables were set up with a red and white checkered tablecloth and flower centerpieces. To complete the atmosphere, Italian music was played throughout the night.
