Arrests made in prostitution sting

The Suffolk County Police Third Precinct Crime Section and COPE Officers conducted a "John Sting" investigation in the Bay Shore area. The operation was conducted in response to numerous neighborhood complaints of prostitution in the area.

The following persons were arrested for Patronizing a Prostitute 4th Degree: Charles Grimmer, age 44, of 8 Duke St., North Babylon; Tyrone Gordon, age 30, of 1359 Washington Ave., Bay Shore; Andrew Zammitto III, age 36, of 305 West 5th St., West Islip; Jose Pacurucu, age 50, of 118 Third Ave., Bay Shore; John W. Heeber, age 50, of 11 Maple Ave., Bay Shore; Daniel F. Heltz, age 35, of 1371 Penataquit Ave., Bay Shore; Stephen Hohsfield, age 36, of 1405 Union Blvd., Bay Shore; Salvatore a. Mannine, age 53, of 571 Center Dyre Ave., West Islip; Nathaniel J. Green Jr.,. age 23, of 573 Spur Dr., North, Bay Shore; Daniel Zhicay, age 28, of 57 Second Ave., Bay Shore; Luis Loja, age 37, of 20 Saxon Ave., Bay Shore; Henry Lee, age 27, of 314 Delaware Ave., Bay Shore; Russell Razziano, age 43, of 47 Church Ave., Islip; Jeremy G. Griffith, age 26, of 23 Beech St., Bay Shore; Ronnie Blair, age 44, of 181 Second Ave., Bay Shore and Lorenzo Branch, age 38, of 440 St. Johns St., Central Islip.

Also arrested was Rondell Sheffield, age 32, of 53 North Clinton Ave., Bay Shore, charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd Degree.

Sixteen men were issued Field Appearance Tickets and will appear in First District Court in Central Islip for arraignment on a later date. Green was also charged with Resisting Arrest and Harassment 2nd Degree. He is being held overnight in the third precinct was scheduled for arraignment July 26.
