Brett honored for service
Eileen Brett of Lindenhurst, a compliance associate with Prudential Financial Inc. in the Corporate Governance business unit in New York has received a Prudential Community Champions Shining Star Award of $1,000 for A Mother's Kiss, Inc.
The 11th Annual Prudential Community Champions Awards Program, administered by the Company's local initiatives division, recognized 853 employees and retirees who excel in volunteer commitment, leadership and service to their communities. A volunteer with A Mother's Kiss since 1995, Brett devoted an average of 27 hours per month to the organization, serving as acting secretary during 2001. She attended monthly meetings and managed the organization's website. The organization is dedicated to providing support to the families of pediatric oncology patients in the Long Island, New York city areas while concurrently raising research funds and awareness about childhood cancer.
