•The Great Stars and Their Most Memorable Films series continues in the library’s meeting room. The last movie will be True Grit, starring Dennis Hopper, Robert Duvall, Glen Campbell and John Wayne, Tuesday, August 27, 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

•An AARP Defensive Driving course class will be held at the library Wednesday, September 11 and Thursday, September 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each day. There is a $10 non-refundable fee due at registration. Registration for Babylon School residents only will be Tuesday, September 3 and Wednesday, September 4. Other district residents may register thereafter.

•The movie Entrapment (rated PG-13), starring Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta Jones will be shown Wednesday, August 28, 1:30 p.m.

•The Babylon library is sponsoring the following trips: Monday, September 23, A Visit to Kykuit, $66 per person includes a tour of the estate and lunch at the Chart House; Wednesday, October 23, West Point and Hudson River Cruise, $65 per person includes tour of the Academy, lunch at Hotel Thayer, cruise on Hudson river; Friday, November 15, Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular, $85 per person includes ticket and lunch at Pergola’s. All trips include bus, lunch and gratuities unless otherwise noted. Sign-up is in-person at the front desk and you do not need to be a Village resident to register for these trips.

•The Friends of the West Babylon Public Library is sponsoring an express bus trip to Atlantic City Wednesday, September 4. The bus leaves at 10:30 a.m. The cost is $25 for members of the Friends and $27 for non-members. Everyone is invited to join the fun and games on the bus. In-person registration is underway.
