Dear Editor
Dear Editor:
As reported on Channel 12’s June 29 broadcast "Geese sent to meat packing plant in Belmont Park," the unwelcome geese population was obliterated from the park’s grounds and shipped to a meat packing plant.
Essentially, governmental and humanity’s intervention to slay wildlife and curtail the life span of wildlife will imbalance and rupture God and nature’s intent. The animals’ wildlife habitat and sanctuary ought to be revered and sanctioned by the rules of nature. Yet, as a result of the absence of man’s laws to mandate animal right, wildlife is sacrificed to serve man as predator.
Alas, the select few men in power are empowered to kill and slaughter mercilessly innocent wildlife to persevere as "king of the jungle." Conceivably, the majority rule of animal lovers and advocates is apt to overrule the killing of geese, yet, the option to vote is denied. Thus, the execution is implemented without a pardon of the people.
Cannot man and animal cohabit and live together?
