•A multimedia seminar, Sportfishing on Long Island will be presented Tuesday, July 30, 7 p.m. Through the use of slides, videotapes and transparencies, Captain Jerry McGrath, experienced fisherman, author and former charter captain will talk about various fishing techniques and more. Registrations is underway.

•The library is sponsoring a bus trip, Artists’ Private Studio Tour and Art in the Garden Saturday, August 10 (raindate August 11). The bus leaves the library 8:45 a.m. for a tour of the private art studios of North Shore artists. Fee of $65, non-refundable includes transportation, lunch at a waterfront restaurant, and Art in the Garden. Registration is underway.
