•Pat Pasquini of PrimeTime Travel Club will be at the library Tuesday, May 14, 1 to 2 p.m. to show how much there is to see and experience in America. Please register for this free program.

•There will be a Mouse Tutorial Wednesdays, May 15 and 22, 9 a.m. when Adult Librarian Ruth Westfall will teach how to use the mouse. Registration is underway.

•The library will be having a seminar on Elder Law Thursday, May 16, 10 a.m. to noon. Learn how to plan in advance to protect your family and preserve your assets. Please register for this free program.

•On Wednesday, May 15, 7:30 to 9 p.m. there will be a workshop on Protecting Your Child From Strangers. Presented by police officers from the Suffolk County COPE unit, this workshop will focus on tips and techniques that families can learn and use to keep their children safe. •Registration is underway for a Defensive Driving class to be held Saturday, May 18, 9 a.m. $34 fee, payable at registrations. This non-AARP driving class may reduce insurance costs and points.

•A Clackin’ Bird workshop for young adults will be held Monday, May 13, 4 to 5 p.m. Instructor Joanne Manning will show how to make an original hand puppet out of wood, foam core and more. Registration is underway, no fee.

•On Wednesday, May 15, 7:30 p.m., Dr. David Slavin, a Lindenhurst chiropractor will discuss Staying Young, Feeling Great and how you can add years to your life and life to your years. A licensed massage therapist and a licensed acupuncturist will be joining the program. Registration is underway.

•The library is offering a Tobacco Cessation program conducted by a health educator and a Nurse Practitioner and sponsored by the Suffolk County Dept. of Health Service. The program consists of six weekly one-hour sessions held Thursdays, May 16, 23, 30, June 6, 13 and 20, 6:30 p.m. Call the library for registration and further information.

•Sign-up is underway for Digital Darkroom, class to be held Monday, May 13, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. This introductory program explains the ins and outs of digital cameras, scanners as well as software used to enhance digital photographs.

•A Decorative Candle Pots craft class will be held Thursday, May 16, 7 to 8:30 p.m. These candle pots can be used as thoughtful gifts or delightful party favors and are made from small terra cotta pots with small candles. Paint and embellish them using your own imagination. Registration is underway.

•The Friends of The West Babylon Public Library will leave for Showboat Casino in Atlantic City Wednesday, May 15. The bus will depart 10:30 a.m. Cost is $27 non-members and $25, members. Tickets and further information at the library.
