The Student Council of the Marion G. Vedder Elementary School in North Babylon, held a bake sale. The money raised was for the families of North Babylon who lost an immediate family member in the September 11th tragedy. All of the students donated baked goods to help make this, such a success. Student Council members also made patriotic, red, white and blue friendship bracelets that were sold as well. Parents volunteered their time to help out. Although the bake sale was such a success, there was an abundant amount of goods left over. These goods were donated and hand delivered to the North Babylon Food Pantry with the help of some parents who volunteered. Over $450 was raised to support our neighbors.
