•Samantha Harnos, a resident of North Babylon and a graduate of St. Anthony’s\ High School is one of nine St. Joseph’s College Patchogue Campus students named to the 2002 edition of Who’s Who in American Universities and Colleges. Students are chosen for inclusion in the Who’s Who directory, based on their academic achievements, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success. Harnos, a business administration major at St. Joseph’s College with a minor in Spanish will graduate this spring. She was vice president of the business and accounting club and a member of the Delta Mu Delta honor society for business administration students at St. Joseph’s College.

•Anthony L. Rios, of West Islip, was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2001 semester at Tufts University, Massachusetts.

•Two local residents have been named to the dean’s list at the Savannah College of Art and Design, Savannah, George for the winter quarter 2002. They are Patricia Ann Coughlan, of West Islip, a graphic design major and Rachael Samantha James, of Babylon, the daughter of John James of Babylon.

•Jessica Appold, the daughter of Diane and Wayne Appold former residents of Lindenhurst, has been named to the fall 2001 dean’s list at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Appold is a member of the class of 2005 majoring in English and is a member of Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society. She graduated from Avon High School in 2001.
