With the 2001-2002 concert series, the Island Senior Symphony begins its 30th season, featuring an exciting season of music including Kalinnikov’s Symphony No. 1 in g minor, Wagner’s Rienzi Overture, Schumann’s Overture, Scherzo and Finale, and other works still to be selected.

The Island Senior Symphony will begin its weekly rehearsals in preparation for its new concert series on Thursday, September 6, 9:30 a.m., to noon in the Sonderling Building of Brentwood High School. the Senior String Ensemble will begin their rehearsals on Friday, September 7 at the South Huntington Library.
