On July 5, Sophia Garden, a project of the Sisters of St. Dominic at 555 Albany Ave., Amityville, became certified organic. Sophia Garden is a CSA which means that members pay the expenses of the garden, (cost to hire farmer, seeds, etc.) and in return receive organic vegetables.
