	Legislator Maxine Postal (D-Amityville) recognized Thomas Cronogue, chief of the Wyandanch-Wheatly Heights Ambulance Corps, as Fire and Rescue Volunteer of 2001 for his outstanding commitment to public health.  Cronogue is a Nassau County Police Officer and EMS dispatch instructor at the Nassau Police Academy and a longtime volunteer and emergency medical services instructor in Suffolk County.  He represents the Suffolk County Legislature on the County's E911 Commission. 	State Senator Owen H. Johnson (4th Senate District, Babylon), vice president pro tempore of the Senate, presented New York State Senate Resolutions to three alumni of St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School who were named "Men of the Year" at the school's annual "Gentlemen's Dinner," which was held at the Riverview Restaurant in Oakdale.   	Pictured, left to right, are Robert "Rob" Auletti, class of 1984 of Bernardsville, New Jersey; Senator Johnson; Gordon Canary, class of 1972 of Babylon, who is also the district office manager for Senator Johnson and Frank Auletti, class of 1981 of Deer Park.  The men were recognized for their hard work on behalf of the school and were presented with New York State Senate resolutions.  The annual Gentlemen's Dinner raises funds for St. John the Baptist High School's Development Fund.  This year's dinner was attended by over 140 "Gentlemen" and raised over $20,000 in funds.
