Edna M. Madocks, a former longtime resident of Babylon, died in Spotsylvania, Virginia July 6, 2001. She was 81 years old.

Mrs. Madocks is survived by her daughter Lynn and her husband David Rankins of Spotsylvania and by her sons, Edward and his wife Maria of Vienna, Virginia and Robert and his wife Eileen of West Islip. She is also survived by her brother Gaynor Achen of Rockville Centre and three grandchildren. Her husband Maynard predeceased her.

Funeral services for Mrs. Madocks were held at the Found & Sons Funeral Chapels, Fredericksburg, Virginia. Interment was Tuesday, July 12 at Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale under the direction of Frederick J. Chapey & Sons funeral homes of West Islip.

The family has requested that contributions in Mrs. Madocks’ name be made to the SPCA of Fredericksburg, 1523 Olde William St., Fredericksburg, Virginia, 22301.
