Sylvia Hirschman, a lifelong resident of Lindenhurst, died June 25, 2001. She was 82 years old.

Born to William Hirschman and Emma Furrer, Ms. Hirschman was an avid bowler, winning many trophies and awards. She is survived by her niece, Jerilyn of East Islip and her great nephew, Darrell, and her cousins, Evelyn, Phyllis and Dolores.

Ms. Hirschman reposed at the Johnstons’ Wellwood Funeral home, 305 N. Wellwood Ave., Lindenhurst until June 28, when she burial took place in the Amityville Cemetery.
