The BABHAB awards are in memory of local citizens who have been active in community efforts or inspirational to local youth. Each year the memorial changes.

From Amityville High School, the award went to Jamie Lee Haase in memory of Tamika Lee; from Babylon High School the award went to Elizabeth Gonzalez in memory of Leroy Vaughn; from Deer Park High School the award went to Tia Judson in memory of Ruth Hansen; from Lindenhurst High School the award went to Erica Borthwick in memory of Mark Hoschke; from North Babylon High School the award went to Michelle D’Onofrio in memory of Gerard Reichert; from Walter O’Connell High School in Copiague the award went to Katrina Constantini in memory of Daniel Smith; from St. John the Baptist High School the award went to Kevin Kuchler in memory of Kyle English; from West Babylon the award went to Mallory Grempel in memory of Jack Scherr; from West Islip High School the award went to Jonathan Leiman in memory of Patricia Engeldrum and from Wyandanch the award went to Marion Margetson in memory of Maria Greaux.

In addition to the scholarship awards, BABHAB makes annual donations to the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition, the Good Samaritan Hospice, Habitat for Humanity, the Guide Dog Foundation of Smithtown, the Marrow Foundation and the Federation of Organizations for the Homeless. Each year a number of other local causes are chosen as beneficiaries.
