Hats off to Donna Periconi, president of the Bay Shore Chamber and BID and all that were involved in making the First Annual Bay Shore Arts Festival by the Bay, the unqualified success it was. The feedback that my office has received by those who attended has been nothing less than incredible.

Everything from the ambiance of the day, to the vendors, entertainment, artists...every spoke volumes about the hard work and "heart" work that went into this event. It was a visible example for the thousands of people who attended that the Bay Shore community is something special. It truly is the heart of the South Shore.

I look forward to working with the Bay Shore community in the years to come to see that this festival grows and that all who come to Bay Shore will come to appreciate this community for the specialness that its residents and businesses bring to it.
