The annual Amityville Village July 3rd Family Celebration
The annual Amityville Village July 3rd Family Celebration held around the Gazebo on Broadway will be held with rides for children, a fireworks display at dusk, food, refreshments, music and more. This is a great way to get out and meet your neighbors and friends as the summer begins.
There is no admission charge and it is the largest event held in the Village. It begins at 5 p.m.
The festivities continue Wednesday morning with the stellar July Fourth parade. This year’s parade route will begin at 10 a.m., on the corner of MacDonald Avenue and South Bayview Avenue and will proceed north up South Bayview Avenue all the way to Avon Place. At Avon Place, it will proceed westerly to Route 100 and north to Oak Street. It will bear left on Oak Street and finish at the Firehouse, where awards will be given in several categories. Refreshments will be served.
This year’s July 3rd Celebration chairman is Tony Soares and the Fourth of July Parade Chairman is Roger Smith.
