National Geography Bee

Udall Road Middle School sixth grader Rod Alzmann has won the school-level competition of the National Geography Bee and a chance at the $25,000 college scholarship. The school-level bee is the first round of the thirteenth annual National Geographic Bee. School winners, including Alzmann need to complete a written test and 100 of the top scorers in each state and territory become eligible for state bees during the month of April. The National Geographic Society provides an all-expense paid trip to Washington D.C. for state champions and their teacher-escorts during May.
