Edwin R. Leverich, Sr., a lifetime resident of West Islip, died September 27, 2000. He is predeceased by his wife Clara. Surviving Mr. Leverich are his daughter Deborah and her husband Steven Lyon, Edwin Jr. and Elza; his sister, Alice Helfst and his grandchildren Jill, Athena and Kelly.

Interment was in Babylon Rural Cemetery, Babylon. Arrangements were under the direction of the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Funeral Homes of East Islip and West Islip.
