Helen D. Hanrahan, of West Islip, died June 26, 2000. She is predeceased by her husband, John and her daughter, Deborah. Surviving Mrs. Hanrahan are her children, Richard J. and Patricia; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, John; her daughter-in-law Jeanette C. and sons-in-law Ernest P. and Steven J. Her brother, James Farrell, precedeased her.

A Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial was said at St. Patrick R.C. Church, Bay Shore. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery, Woodside. Arrangements were entrusted to the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Funeral Homes of East Islip and West Islip.
