William A. Willis Sr., of West Islip, died June 26, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Wilma, his children, Celeste McKinstry and William A. Willis Jr.; his grandchildren, William A. III, Ryan M. and Melinda M. Willis and Amanda McKinstry and Ethan McKinstry. Also surviving Mr. Willis are his brother Arthur Willis and cousin Murial Guba.

A Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial was said at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church, West Islip. Interment was in Long Island National Cemetery at Calverton. Arrangements were under the direction of the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Funeral Homes of East Islip and West Islip.
