The owner of 8 Little East Neck Road, otherwise known locally as the old Barbizon Building at the intersection of Montauk Highway, appeared before the Babylon Board of Appeals July 19, asking for permission to lease 1,200 square feet of office space in the 7,600 square foot building to a real estate firm, and to permit up to 50 percent of his tenants to have Sunday office hours. The building, zoned Residence-O permits only "low volume" office use and prohibits Sunday hours, except with special permission by the Board of Appeals. More...

William A. Willis Sr., of West Islip, died June 26, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Wilma, his children, Celeste McKinstry and William A. Willis Jr.; his grandchildren, William A. III, Ryan M. and Melinda M. Willis and Amanda McKinstry and Ethan McKinstry. Also surviving Mr. Willis are his brother Arthur Willis and cousin Murial Guba. More...
