Our Lady of Consolation’s offers consultations for prescription drug benefits

Our Lady of Consolation’s Medical Services Department will be taking appointments for individual consultations regarding the new Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit to help beneficiaries compare current medication and insurance costs with the new plans in order to choose the most beneficial and cost effective means of prescription coverage.

The social work department will provide consultation regarding how a person’s choice of plans will effect current insurance coverage, especially with regard to Medicaid income and asset limits.

This is being offered as a service to the community at no cost. This service is designed to assist prospective Medicare Part D beneficiaries and their families and friends. Appointments will be scheduled on Fridays, noon to 4 p.m. at half hour intervals. Please bring a current list of medications, any cost or pricing available on those medications, information on current insurance plans and premium and deductible information. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call 631-587-1600, ext. 8201.
