     Each year on Halloween, West Islip residents flock to the Oquenock Elementary School to observe the annual parade around the front of the building as staff members dress in a common theme and accompany their students dressed in holiday garb.

El Salvador mission project
     Local students traveled to El Salvador with Our Lady of Lourdes Church through CFCA, to participate in a Mission Awareness Project. The participants visited local cities and villages to learn about El Salvadorian culture and traditions.
