Kyle Parry, 48, surfer and carpenter

Kyle E. Parry, a master carpenter and award-winning surfer died at his home in Swansboro, North Carolina, August 14, 2005. He was 48 years old and was a longtime resident of Amityville and Bay Shore.

Born to Sidney and Geraldine in Amityville where he lived for 30 years, Mr. Parry lived in the Bay Shore area for 10 years before moving to North Carolina to build homes.

He was married to Barbara A. (Boltwood) for 20 years who said her husband won many surf contests at Gilgo Beach.

"He loved the water. In fact after his death, his eyes were donated to a young man without sight named Dwayne Stone," said Barbara "We hope Dwayne likes the water (as much as Kyle did)."

In his spare time, Mr. Parry enjoyed spending time on boats, gardening and visiting with his extended family.

Mr. Parry leaves behind his wife, Barbara; his children Heather Michelle of West Islip and Alyssa Emily of North Carolina; his parents Sidney and Geraldine of Swansboro, North Carolina, and his sisters Barbara Ubert and Beth Elizabeth Schaub, both of Emerald Isle, North Carolina.

Mr. Parry had a memorial service at the Jones Funeral Home in Swansboro, North Carolina, August 18, 2005, followed by private internment.
