Free and low-cost mammograms Many low-income women may not be aware that they can get a free or low-cost mammogram. The Adelphi New York statewide Breast Cancer Hotline and Support Program is urging them to call the hotline at 800-877-8077 to learn about the resources available to them. "We want to make sure that every woman in New York is able to get a mammogram," says Hillary Rutter, the director of the hotline. Rutter urges women to call the hotline, toll free at 800-877-8077, to find out about resources in their community and to discuss any other concerns about breast cancer.
